Team Peter Vanderoff and Ariana Negreiro beat team John Kochanek and Jack Maibach 10-9 in the prime time game of euchre that was neck-and-neck at the end. Vanderhoff and Negreiro started the game down 1-0, but then went on to score seven consecutive points to take a six-point lead at 7-1. From there, Kochanek and Maibach clawed back to erase the deficit and got ahead 8-7. After that the game went back-and-fourth. The two teams exchanged points and found themselves tied 9-9. The emotions of both teams began to show in the stressful situation. Negreiro dealt the final hand and ordered herself up to claim the 10-9 victory. The total attendance for the euchre match included three Rather Hall residents

Tonight is euchre night in Rather Hall 's fourth floor at Michigan State University. The prime time showdown consists of three Rather Hall residents with the fourth being from Bryan Hall . The teams feature John Kochanek  and Jack Maibach  playing against Peter Vanderoff  and Ariana Negreiro . Kochanek is without is typical partner, Joe Traverso . Since the two started playing together, they've developed a chemistry which makes them hard to beat at times. Kochanek and Maibach don't have as much experience together so their results may not be the same. Vanderhoff and Negreiro are currently in a relationship. Negreiro, a Florida native, has become more skilled at euchre since being first introduced to the game after meeting Vanderhoff. The match is set to start after Kochanek comes back from late night dinner at the MSU Union and Vanderhoff returns from watching " The Walking Dead " which is ends at 10 p.m.
